Online learning

As global markets grow increasingly competitive, business professionals need more than a set of casual acquaintances – they must cultivate lasting relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders around the world.

For that reason, engagement and relationship-building are at the heart of the UCL MBA online experience. On this programme – which comprises online, classroom-based learning and optional community-oriented opportunities – students work jointly with accomplished academics and fellow students whose backgrounds span industries, disciplines and cultures.

Build relationships during live, weekly classes

The UCL MBA is taught by the same outstanding academics as our on-campus modules – the only difference is the flexible mode of delivery.

  • Real-time discussion: Hosted on the Zoom HD videoconferencing platform, students will attend live classroom sessions and participate in dynamic discussions with other students and academics.
• Collaborative classroom features: In addition to lively discussions, students may use chat, breakout rooms and presentation-sharing options to communicate with others while mastering important concepts.
  • Recorded content: All live sessions are recorded, which means students can review concepts and discussion points at length after class has ended.

Access module assignments easily

Learning takes place at a time and place most convenient for our students.

Modules are designed specifically for an online audience, allowing students to further develop the relationships and knowledge they have established during live sessions.

Between live sessions, students may create online meetings for group work, form social groups with peers who share their personal and professional interests, or schedule one-on-one meetings with academics.

Students will also use the platform to complete work at times that complement their busy schedules using a range of activities including videos, online quizzes and readings, and discussion forums.

Modules and assignments are easily accessible via mobile, tablet or desktop devices.

Join UCL’s vibrant, global community

Optional immersions, hosted at various points throughout the programme, afford the opportunity to meet highly regarded UCL academics and to collaborate with a network of online students from around the globe.

Throughout their studies, online students also benefit from the same resources and support afforded to on-campus peers, including access to library services, academic writing skills, counselling and careers advice.
