
Frédéric Malherbe
Faculty in Finance, Accounting, and Economics
Dr. Malherbe’s research interests include financial intermediation, banking regulation, macroeconomics and political economy.
Dr. Malherbe is a Professor of Economics and Finance at UCL and serves as the Director of UCL’s Centre for Finance. He also is a member of the Academic Advisory Group for Bank of England’s One Bank Research Steering Committee (OBRSC), and associate editor at the Journal of Monetary Economics and at the Journal of Banking and Finance, and a Research Affiliate at the CEPR. Prior to joining UCL, Dr. Malherbe was an Assistant Professor of Economics at London Business School.
He holds PhD and MRes degrees in Economics from the Université libre de Bruxelles; an MA in Management from the Université Catholique de Louvain; and a BA in Engineering and Business from the Université Catholique de Louvain.
